Hi and welcome to The Farmers Wife! I’m Moriah, a full-time sales agronomist, part-time farmer, a passionate cook, and married to farmer in north central Nebraska.
Originally from Springview, I was raised on the family farm and ranch where I gained my initial passion for both agriculture and food.
My growing up years consisted of helping my dad and uncle with both the crops and cattle, as well as helping my mom always make sure our crew was well fed.
I fell in love with a farm boy named Bryce in college during my last year of agronomy/ag economics, after several years of friendship. He proposed on top of a snow covered mountain while we were skiing.
What seemed to be just a few short months later we were married in October of 2019. When I graduated with my degree in agronomy and ag economics we moved to Holt County, Nebraska.
While I began my career as a sales agronomist, Bryce finished up his last semester as a construction management major.
Though ‘Farmer’ is not formally in either his or I’s job title, we both consider farming near and dear to our hearts.
We continue to help out on both of our family farms, with ultimate goal of returning full-time to the farm.
I am very passionate about agriculture and want to share what we do and why with any visitors of The Farmers Wife.
Besides work on the farm, I have followed in my mother’s footsteps with the joy in cooking and baking for others.
Whether it’s taking supper out to our planting or harvest crews, or a simple pan of bars for ‘my guys’ at work
I may not be the strongest writer, but have always enjoyed it and found it to be a great outlet…so please bear with me!
This blog was created as a way to, not only document our day-to-day family farm experiences, but also to share both my love for agriculture as well as the recipes that gather us all together.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you stick around! Feel free to email me with any questions or comments.
